Today there are many ways eye care professionals are incorporating contact lenses as part of their treatment plan based on the desires and lifestyle of the patient. Contact lenses can be used in the correction and treatment of myopia, astigmatism, and presbyopia. Some treatment options are more involved and may be a longer process to arrive at candidacy. For example, myopia management is a great option for pediatric patients looking to slow or stop the progression of myopia. Keratoconus or irregularly shaped corneas often present as patients with high or irregular astigmatism, and bandage contact lenses for corneal abrasions.
