I-Care

So, let’s review the procedure with an I-care. The patient will sit tall and straight, have the patient look straight ahead. If you give the patient a reference or a focal point to look at, it typically makes it a little bit easier. Have the patient breathe natural and they make blink normal. Let the patient know that you will be getting close. Refer to your scripting so that you’re educating the patient on what to expect, what their information is used for, and how the test benefits both the patient and the doctor. This test may be performed with contact lenses. Just make sure on your documentation, that you are accurately reflecting the numbers associated with the contact lenses.
