Now by the end of this entire course, you should walk away with all of the pertinent knowledge and skills that when combined make you both a confident and competent optician.
We're going to review the different types of lenses available, the different materials that those lenses are available in, and why we would use them. As well as the different enhancements and treatments and technologies that are available to enhance those lenses as well.
We will talk about the anatomy of the frame so we know what to call every single piece of the glasses that we wear on our face. The different tools and their uses so we know what to use in which scenario and how to speak to the patient about them, as well as some basic terminology that you need to know in order to understand how the lenses work and how to best explain them to your patient. Then we'll get into the skills application once we have the knowledge.
We want to teach you how to make proper lens measurements. We want to teach you how to use those tools that we teach you about, how to adjust a frame without breaking it. We want to talk about how to create a one-of-a-kind experience when dispensing a pair of glasses to a patient so that you can really leave that lasting touch that makes their experience memorable in your practice. We're going to go through some job inspection so we know how to check in jobs when they come into your practice and also how to troubleshoot when a patient comes into your practice so that you don't just tell them to try it out for another week or two and hope that they don't come back and bother you.
