Alright, next let’s take a look at that onboarding process and developing your training playbook. You’ll actually have two different playbooks. Go ahead and compile a schedule of planned activities for your new hire with corresponding forms and documents that will be required as well. Keep that in your administrative playbook.Â
Your new hire playbook will include documents such as optometry basics, understanding prescriptions, what contact lenses are, what glasses are, your fee schedule, your company contact list and team contact list ,vendor contact list, and also a vendor list for any platform logins, such as their time keeping system, electronic health records, email access, Solution Reach, Weave, or other communication access, etc. These reference lists will help them become more self-sufficient quite a bit faster.Â
Okay, now you have your administrative playbook and your new hire playbook divided into two separate forms of reference. So, you’ll always be on the same page when you're going down your schedule day one, day two, day three, this is what we are going to do. Communicate with your new hire what you have planned for the next day. Alright, good luck.
