Thank you, Daniel. Next we will proceed in evaluating your visual acuity. This will help the doctor in determining your visual performance with and without your current correction. This is not a test. Please just let me know what you are able to see comfortably. If you cannot see a line, that’s okay. Just let me know so that we can move forward. If you can see part of the line, please just read what you can. If you are unable to make out a letter, it’s okay to guess or skip that letter. We will begin this process with correction. You may keep your glasses or contact lenses on. Stay relaxed. Keep both eyes open, blink naturally, and do not strain. I’ll hand you this, what we call an occluder, to cover your eye so that you can still blink naturally and it blocks your vision one eye at a time. Then we will test both eyes together. We will repeat this process without correction. Ready? Great!
