Advantages and Disadvantages

During this process, patients may experience glare and distortion during the adaptation period and peripheral defocus as centration can sometimes interfere. 

However, the advantages outweigh the disadvantages to ortho-k wearers. It allows them the freedom from contact lenses during activities and throughout the day.
