Conclusion

Okay, that’s it for New Hire Preparation, for recruiting, selecting, and onboarding your new team member. You will certainly want to continue check-ins over the course of the year, through personal improvement plans and coaching.

Explain to your new hire that, hey, it’s been 30, 60 days and you’re doing wonderful. We really appreciate the dedication that you’re putting into learning our industry, and you’re about right here. In three months, we do expect you to learn more and be more self-sufficient. So, you’re doing great right now and in three to six months we expect you to be here. Just let your new hire know your expectations so they have an idea of just how much there is to learn in our specialty.
