Closing Huddle

Okay, closing huddles. Let's wrap up with our game plan for the day. Now, I'll acknowledge that sometimes the closing huddle can be a little tricky. We might still have somebody in clinic or maybe there's somebody still out in optical, but if you plan accordingly for the day, these last evening huddles truly can be rewarding as you celebrate a successful day.

So, what is our evening huddle or our closing huddle it’s a quick five to eight minutes with the team. The goal is to ask any questions that we might have of the doctor or someone else, discuss any observances that we might have had throughout the day, celebrate those successes and billers, be sure to ask your questions. Remember, we want to have all those insurance claims filed by the end of the day. And doctor, we want to make sure your questions are answered and you are able to get all your charts closed. So you may be saying “what if I can't get the whole team together?” Well doctor, here is where I will reiterate again, be sure to meet with your clinical team to answer any questions that they have. This will help you build that strong clinical optician or scribe, whichever platform that you are utilizing within your practice. 

So, there we have it, game plan for the day. This truly will help you to have a phenomenal culture within your practice, excellent patient experience and put you in the position of having a winning day.
