Step 3: Intentional Recall
Once you have deliberately reviewed your 2020 recall list and you have focused on schedule management for 2020 and 2021, you will want to be sure and be more intentional in your recall actions. We need to be even more intentional in further recall actions to make sure we are not missing out on any opportunities in the care of your patients. It is important that you begin to review your clinical care guidelines or the standard of care.
You’ll want to begin to evaluate your medical recall lists and ensure you are bringing your patients back following CMS recommended guidelines for your state.
Then, you’ll want to generate specific patient reports to see if all patients who were originally scheduled tests have been seen by the doctor. This is great opportunity for your clinical team to assist in managing and filling the schedule.
