Tools

Let’s review some of those, just some of those tools that we recommend to make your daily life easier and help you be efficient. Number one if you don't have them, get them. Dual monitors or a 32-inch monitor or larger. Definitely at your patient reception, these can also be used in your exam room. Sometimes we recommend three monitors, if you're using the smaller ones. Go for the big one in your exam as well as out in optical. This allows for you to have a command central, where you can pull up your or have always open your practice software, you can have all of your insurance portals, you can have a courtesy patient waitlist, you can have your central communication system for patient education which we’ll talk about here in a minute. Everything is easily accessible for you and you're not having to bounce back and forth between screens. This truly is a game changer.

We also recommend the electronic communication systems, such as Weave or Solution Reach. Just to name a few. You’ll hear us speak about these as you attend various courses within the OSC. But this allows for us to have an efficient way to communicate with our patients and we know what is human nature these days, we love to text and these systems allow us to do that. now one thing to keep in mind and I will never stop reiterating and that is that these electronic communication systems do not remove the human element, but they can definitely help us improve our daily efficiency.

Another recommendation would be Bluetooth headsets for all team members. Why, because we all need to be able to pick up the phone and answer it and to be able to schedule. We don't want to have to transfer that patient to someone else, unless of course you're with another patient, but then that’s team communication. But by having Bluetooth headsets that allows for ease of movement around the practice and it allows for all of us to be able to participate in protecting our schedule and being able to set those appointments.
