Incorporating Language and Semantics

When incorporating language and semantics, emphasize the definitions of new and returning contact lens wearers. How you welcome these types of patients will relate to what type of contact lens wearer they might identify as. If seeing a new patient to contact lenses, include semantics that speak to the patient being a new contact lens wearer, new to a lens design, or new to your office. A returning contact lens patient is one that has previously worn contact lenses successfully and does not need additional training and it is important to include returning in your language. These are small modifications you can incorporate in the way that we converse with patients and help them associate when discussing fees to avoid any confusion.
